Quoted from the film's Director -"The Master of Musical Darkness. That is the nickname being bestowed unto Rain composer David Bateman who has been working tirelessly these past few months to complete the ambitious score for our motion picture. And with each new music piece Dave’s score continues to get darker and more disturbing; and yes that’s a good thing. I’m not quite sure where he’s drawing his inspiration from and perhaps it’s better that way, but the score is nothing short of incredible. Cryptic choral voices mix with bone chilling string arrangements to enhance the film’s macabre imagery. We are working under a tight deadline and want to be mixing the audio by May 25th.  After hearing this latest piece of music I’m half expecting goblins to crawl out of the speakers and steal my soul away."

-Douglas Schulze (Director)

Scoring Notes -

The mood for the music in this film was to be dark, creepy and disturbing with lots of hits and stabs. I love working in this horror genre because it allows me to go crazy! I had set up my studio differently for this score, in my basement at home where it looks very similar to the basement used in this film.

I sampled my daughter Adele's voice for the choral sounds to give it a creepier vibe. I played some of the music back for her and it frightened her to tears (she's 7). At that point I knew this was going to work good in the film : )
